Image-Guided Medical Robotics Lab

Michigan Robotics Kellogg Eye Center

The Image-Guided Medical Robotics (IGMR) Lab advances state-of-the-art techniques in medical robotics and imaging.

We combine a deep understanding of robotics, biomedical imaging, and clinical medicine to field medical robot systems with integrated image feedback that solve real-world healthcare problems. Our work closely aligns with ophthalmology and optical coherence tomography, but we seek general-purpose designs that apply broadly to medical interventions guided by real-time volumetric imaging. The lab is directed by Prof. Mark Draelos who holds appointments in Robotics and Ophthalmology at the University of Michigan.
